I've known several people who got law degrees and did not practice law, they did other things, it's not a great career

I totally agree. Those people who post to much are unhappy and their lives are not perfect. I followed a beautiful lady who is wealthy and I thought she was perfect but she just posted she's exhausted, depressed and tired. The only way is to accept yourself and what Jesus created. God doesn't make mistakes and he thought of us before we were born you touched my heart sister in Christ and I'm going to follow you. Your so wonderful

I can relate to you so much! I came across your vid just now, because I also withdrew from law school but I only lasted 4 months. I went immediately from graduation too. Thank you for making me feel validated. Ever since I was. young, law school was the end goal and I couldn't think of anything else. Primarily, because it was my dad's dream. I think I convinced myself eventually that it was what I wanted too, since I had no big passion anyway. But I could relate so much to you harboring that internal feeling of something that didn't feel right. I'm also goal-oriented and I'm not the type to quit easily, but I also felt so miserable in law school and deep down, I knew this wasn't what I had envisioned for myself. So I decided to withdraw... it really took a lot of convincing but I just wanted to stop crying every day and the anxiety was really bad. You're right, nobody knows how hard it is until you're actually in law school. I dont think my past self could have ever prepared me for the rigor. I hope I can find my first job next year, January! I'm still feeling lost and I can't help but feel like a failure now, but I hope I can look back on this one day without any regrets. Truly, it is an unpopular decision, but I agree that life is too short to spend it in a career you're not happy with. I hope you're doing better now! God bless

I finished reading 11/22/63 yesterday and I guess I liked it more than you did, although I think you did a very good job of explaining what you didn't enjoy about it. I agree that there were sections in the middle of the novel where not that much was happening. There was a lot of talent show fundraisers going on with the high school kids! I have always been a bit intrigued by the whole Oswald/lone gunman conspiracy thing, so I enjoyed reading to see King's viewpoint on it. He made Marina Oswald a sympathetic character I thought. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the book!

I think she might be too young to understand the impact of the JFK assassination and America's cynicism of the story and conspiracy had on the USA. So probably a lot of it goes over her head. I also think the idea of the "strings" of minor details described in the end obviously were lost on her. the little things that happen are the major strings that change the world... she missed the point.

I first read GWTW when I was about 11. I also used to watch the movie every morning for a month with my sisters (yes, all 5 or 6 hours of it (we would get up at 3am and finish around 9am) My family thought we were crazy 😆. To this day we can quote the film! I have read GWTW more than 50 times in my 46 years of life. I loved it THAT much 😎. Nowadays I do not have much time to read but I've made it a 2023 resolution to read at least 20 classics before the year is through. I miss my books. I might have to dig my copy out to start off with 😊 Thanks for the video!

GWTW is one of my all time favourites and the movie did it justice. An absolute epic worth reading

I read it on Kindle and had no idea how long it was. I loved connecting with that time period because I was in college in 1963. Turns out my favorite books are long - Gone with the Wind, and Atlas Shrugged.
